Belbin Test

The Belbin Test is an instrument for self-assessment of the team role. It allows you to identify activity preferences in a team and better assess your role.

This test works completely in the browser. No information is saved.

Procedure

You will be presented with 7 sections, each with 8 statements. For each section, allocate 10 Points between one, two or three statements most applicable to yourself.

Important: You can only allocate points to a maximum of 3 statements per section.

Once all sections have been successfully completed, the evaluation and result will be displayed.

Interpretation of the results

The highest score for a team role indicates where the test person is most effective in a team. The second-highest score can indicate which team role the individual can take on as a backup role if the group does not need the primarily suitable team role as much.

The two lowest scores for team roles indicate possible weaknesses. However, it is more advisable for the person to work with a colleague who has corresponding strengths rather than trying to remedy these weaknesses themselves.

The categorisation is always a snapshot that reflects the current team context and not necessarily an absolute preference.
